As with virtually any hobby, there are some persistent stereotypes concerning treasure hunters with a metal detector. You know, like they're either elderly or nerdy people with pulled-up socks, shorts, a Hawaiian shirt and a fanny pack, looking for lost items on the beach. Well, maybe you've never lost a valuable piece of jewellery...? So maybe he who laughs last laughs longest...
But seriously, we think both technology and archaeology are exciting. What's cooler than using a self-built device to look for historical relicts Nathan Drake-style (ok, maybe not quite, but, c'mon, this comparison is way more accurate than the one above!).
The assembly of the metal detector is quite easy and described in detail in the included instruction manual. The kit contains x3 cardboard pieces, which you just have to fold and put together, and the electronic components for the metal detector. The only thing you need is a 9V battery (not included) and you're ready to go.
Who knows... maybe this metal detector will be the gateway to a new additive hobby! C'mon, it gets you outside, doesn't it?
Remember the code though... If you do actually happen to make an important archaeological find - (yeah, it could happen!) –don't keep it to yourself. Treasure hunters have a code of honour ;).
