Playing Gothic is like coming home.
At least that's what long-time players say when asked why this 20-year-old game is still so incredibly popular. But nostalgia is of course not the only reason. It's the almost perfect mix of a good story, a unique world with countless exploration possibilities, believable NPCs (it's possible, Bethesda!) and the wonderful soundtrack by Kai Rosenkranz. The only thing that leaves something to be desired by today's standards is the graphics. True fans can overlook this, but for others it really is an annoyance.
