When Final Fantasy IX arrived, it felt like a small rebellion: away from motorbikes and skyscrapers, back to clanking suits of armour, a black mage in a straw hat and a hero with a monkey tail. A quarter of a century later, fans still rattle off Zidane, Vivi, Freya and Amarant by name, as if that trek across the Mist Continent had happened last weekend.

The Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Acrylic Keychain brings new artwork by Toshiyuki Itahana to your keyring. Each of the four designs puts two companions in front of the golden anniversary logo: Zidane and Garnet, Vivi and Steiner, Eiko and Amarant, plus Quina and Freya. The acrylic is only around 3 mm thin, so it never digs into a pocket or a backpack, and the snap hook with its little chain keeps the charm exactly where you want it.

For everyone who would rather carry their favourite party around than leave it sitting in a save file. Keep a firm grip while you show it off, though: Zidane is a thief by trade. ;)
