Description Da Vinci Helicopter Kit
Leonardo had quite a few projects, but unfortunately, some of them remained unfinished and exist only on paper. The concept for the helicopter, which he is said to have been inspired by maple seeds and Chinese tops, is indeed correct. Therefore, you should not forget the words of the genius during assembly:
If this instrument is well made in the form of a screw, i.e., from linen cloth and its pores clogged with glue, and if you manage to make it spin quickly, it turns out that this screw acts as a wing in the air and rises very high.
However, we must admit that the helicopter is unlikely to take to the skies, as it is simply too heavy in the scaled model. If it does, be sure to send us a video! :) Above all, the model demonstrates da Vinci's brilliant insights into lift, without which no aircraft and no bird would be able to take off.
The set contains 60 parts and glue, as well as a multilingual illustrated manual (including German). The finished model measures approximately 19 x 16 x 35 cm.
