I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death... – Professor Snape
Snape might have been a little too dramatic in his speech in “The Philosopher’s Stone”, but he’s not wrong: potions are some of the most interesting and dangerous things in the wizarding world. And they play a significant role in the adventures of the trio, Ron, Hermione and Harry. In the second year, Hermione brews a Polyjuice Potion for the three of them in order to find out whether Malfoy has something to do with the strange happenings at Hogwarts. Dolores Umbridge tries to get information out of rebellious students by using Veritaserum. And in the sixth year, everything revolves around potions after Harry finds a mysterious textbook.
Now you can get yourself this potion and bring some Hogwarts atmosphere into your home.
This officially licensed Harry Potter Tea Light Lava Lamp “Poison Bottle” comes to you directly from the dungeons of Hogwarts, where Snape and, later, Slughorn teach potions. The glass container with a blue liquid is labelled “Potion No. 07” and has a warning label. In order for it to bubble like you’re in Potions class, you don’t need any Muggle stuff such as electricity or batteries, just a tea light which you put in a metal bowl below the lamp. Through the warmth of the candle, the dark blue “lava” starts to move after 20–40 minutes.
Caution: Please make sure that you use the lava lamp on a heat-resistant pad.
The lamp is made for decorative purposes only and should not be ingested under any circumstances.
